Overview:

Reporting directly to the President of Retail, the VP Brand Management develops strategic direction, business objectives and plans to achieve results for high impact brand categories within the Retail business unit. This role collaborates with Sales, Supply Chain, R&D, Innovation and Finance. Leads a team to execute all activities associated with growing the brands.

Responsibilities:

Develop and execute comprehensive & profitable brand strategies including brand positioning, value proposition and messaging aligned with the Retail business overall objectives.

Oversee the management and optimization of the brand portfolio and annual brand plan to include short and long term objectives, strategic initiatives and tactical actions, product line architecture, SKU mix, annual revenue & profit, spending budgets, pricing and consumer promotions.

Utilize and analyze complex market research and data to inform strategic decision making and provide recommended direction for assigned brands.

Define and refine brand positioning, value proposition, and messaging to effectively communicate with target consumers and differentiate our brands in the market.

Lead the development of integrated marketing campaigns to drive awareness, engagement and brand loyalty in partnership with internal teams (digital, creative) and external agencies.

Forecast sales volume, profits, consumer measures and brand health results and provides requested updates

Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including R&D, Innovation, Sales, Operations, and Finance to ensure alignment and integration of brand strategies across the organization.

Provide strong leadership, mentorship and development opportunities for team members to foster a culture of creativity, collaboration and excellence.

Lead new product development and product improvement initiatives in partnership with R&D and the Innovation team.

Qualifications:

Minimum of a BS degree in marketing or business administration; MBA strongly preferred.

Minimum of 10-15 years of experience in managing consumer product brands.

Strong leadership skills including previous experience leading, developing and motivating a team to achieve results.

Experience analyzing and interpreting market and consumer data to create and support brand strategic direction.

Proven success driving brand innovation and growth strategies and initiatives.

Displays strong interpersonal skills. Experience in navigating conflict with a collaborative mindset. Ability to influence and build trust across the organization.

Proven ability to effectively communicate in verbal and written form, with excellent presentation skills.

Experience with developing marketing and consumer promotion strategies to achieve volume and profit objectives.

Knowledge of digital marketing and ecommerce strongly desired.

Strong financial acumen with previous P&L management experience.

Proficient in Microsoft Office.

Experience in Food Industry is preferred.

Working Conditions/Environment:

Works in a normal office environment where the employee is regularly required to speak, see, hear, sit, stand, talk, type, walk and bend while moving about the facility. The noise level in the office is quiet. Regular travel to plant locations or outside agencies may be required.
