Job Description

The LICSW will work with clients in a mental health context and makes use of the Social Work brand of tools and skillsets to help the client to overcome their own mental and emotional struggles. The LICSW will seek to provide essential services in the environments, communities, and social systems that affect the lives of the people they serve. A strong commitment to the delivery of competent services to individuals, families, couples, and groups. This position is an integral part of the Integrated Behavioral Health program.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Determines nature of client’s situation by interviewing client, assessing medical, psychological, emotional, and social information, and making on-site visits.

Establishes course of action by exploring options and setting goals with clients.

Obtains assistance for clients by referring them to community resources, arraigning appointments and establishing rapport with other agencies.

Fosters client’s action or adjustment by interpreting attitudes and patterns of behavior, explaining and suggestion new options.

Maintains records of case by documents client’s situation and client’s action.

Monitors planned actions by periodic follow-up.

Maintains operations by following policies and procedures, participating in quality reviews and reporting needed changes.

Complies with federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation, enforcing adherence to requirements, and advising management on needed action.

Maintains client confidence and protects operations by keeping information confidential.

Contributes to team efforts by accomplishing related results as needed.

Qualifications:

Masters in social work accredited by the Council of Social Work Education.

Licensed clinical social worker preferred.

2-5 years of related experience.

State-specific licensure required.
