Shuttle Driver

Job Description

The Hyatt Place Columbus OSU is currently seeking a Shuttle Driver to join our team!

The shuttle driver transports guests to and from assigned destinations using the property vehicle.

Primary Responsibilities:

You will document all trips prior to the start of and at the conclusion of each trip. Park Vehicles in a designated location when not in use. Inspect property vehicles for damage and cleanliness. Check tire pressure and fluid levels for the property vehicle, and refuel as necessary. Notify the appropriate personnel of any vehicle maintenance needs. Document all vehicle incidents (i.e.… damages, accidents) and provide reports of any incident to the manager/supervisor. Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to manager; complete safety training and certifications.

Provides guests with local directions in a courteous and accurate manner.

Ensures guest belongings are properly tagged and secured.

Operates the shuttle in a courteous manner, ensuring the safety of the guest.

Assist incoming and outgoing guests by transporting luggage/baggage to and from the guest rooms.

Maintain cleanliness of vehicles.

Must maintain a professional appearance.

Physical Requirements:

Associate must be able to sit in the same position, stand and walk for up to 8 hours a day consecutively.

Associate may be required to stand, will be required to have to stand, walk, reach with arms and hands, climb or balance, and to stoop, kneel, crouch and or crawl.

Associate is often required to sit and use his or her hands and fingers, to handle or feel.

Vision abilities required by this job include close vision.

Associate is required to speak and hear

Must be able to lift 50 lbs.

Travel

This position requires the successful candidate to have a valid Driver’s license. The successful candidate would have to provide proof that s/he has a valid driver’s license upon being hired.

Qualifications, Education, Experience, Skills, and Abilities:

Must be knowledgeable of basic hand/power tool Basic reading, writing, and math skills.

Exceptional customer service skills.

Excellent communication skills.

Must be able to drive automatic transmission vehicles of all sizes with ease.

Minimum one year customer service experience is required.

Must have a clean driving record.
