This is a highly visible management position, responsible for all aspects of day-to-day accounting operations and financial reporting for Bath & Body Works Stores. This position reports to the Bath & Body Works Associate Vice President and manages three accounting associates. This role also serves as a key liaison with various cross-functional business partners.

The ideal candidate will be not only an accounting & reporting expert, but also passionate, motivated, and energized by the opportunity to work with some of the most talented people in the industry.

Responsibilities:

Recruit, manage, and develop direct reports responsible for all aspects of accounting for Bath & Body Works Stores.

Oversee monthly accounting close and financial reporting activities.

Manage quarter- and year-end analysis, certification, and reporting activities.

Ensure appropriate internal controls are documented, in place, and operating effectively.

Monitor compliance with company accounting policies and generally accepted accounting principles.

Evaluate impacts of new accounting pronouncements in partnership with our external reporting team.

Identify and implement innovative solutions in support of continued growth of the business.

Build strong relationships with cross-functional business partners including FP&A, Store Operations, and Store Finance and ensure the team provides excellent service to its internal customers.

Partner with teams across the enterprise including Real Estate, Inventory, Payroll, Accounts Payable, Tax and others on accounting, budgeting, and forecasting matters.

Perform ad hoc financial analysis as needed.

Lead significant projects such as system implementations/upgrades.

Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience; strong preference towards experience with public accounting firm.

Strong organizational, prioritization and time management skills.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to build partnerships across departments and business units.

Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office suite; experience with SAP a plus.

Education:

Four-year degree in Accounting or Finance; MBA or Masters of Accountancy

CPA designation strongly preferred.
