Position Overview

Nwestco is offering a great growth opportunity for IT Technicians looking to hone and expand their skills. This opportunity will work in our Fresno, CA branch office with some travel required.

Position: IT Technician - Level 2

Location: Fresno, California (In Office, some travel required)

Job Type: Full-Time

Salary: $66,560 - $$68,560

Job Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems or related field, or equivalent relevant industry certifications (e.g., A+ Network+, Security+, Cisco CCNA). Bachelor's degree preferred.

Extensive experience and expertise in IT hardware and software troubleshooting (e.g., Dell, Dymo, HP, Microsoft Suite).

Exceptional time management skills, along with outstanding communication and problem-solving skills.

Proficient in virtualization infrastructures (e.g., VMware, Hyper V).

Proficient in Remote desktop tools (e.g., Remote Desktop Protocol, ConnectWise)

Proven ability to work independently and provide guidance and mentorship to Tier I support staff.

Job Responsibilities:

Support

Providing professional, polite, customer service-driven level-one support for employee issues or requests related to Windows, Active Directory, desktop/laptop hardware, and software, including but not limited to Office 365, Microsoft Teams, Google Chrome, and smartphones.

Hardware/apps, Virtual Private Network (VPN), basic audio/visual equipment, installing/uninstalling software from machines and others.

Troubleshooting issues over the phone and over various engagement methods (phone, ticketing system, in-person, email, Microsoft Teams, etc.)

Logging/documenting tickets for technical issues and/or requests.

Processing requests for technological issues from both Phone and Electronic methods.

Coordinating tasks/resolutions with other teams.

Escalating calls that are beyond the tier-one scope to other resolver groups

Writing communications (emails) to the organization about scheduled events (software, maintenance, outages, etc.)

Identifying processes that can be improved and recommending changes to leadership.

Develops and maintains Knowledge Base (KB) articles.

Assist in rolling acquired companies into our IT Environment

Software

Help support HR by onboarding and offboarding employees across multiple systems.

Maintain accounts for multiple SaaS platforms: Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, Duo, NetSuite

Hardware

Deploying/configuring desktops, laptops, mobile devices, and more.

Deploy and configure networking hardware (Meraki) at multiple locations

Manage our Verizon account for ordering and upgrading phones and tablets.

Maintain softphones at all locations

Other duties as assigned.

Pre-Employment Requirements

Ability to pass pre-employment physical with extensive lifting (up to 75 lb), twisting, pulling, kneeling, and squatting.

Ability to pass pre-employment drug-screening and background check.

A valid driver's license with a clean driving record over the past 5 years required.
