Position- Market Director Plant Operations

Location- San Luis Obispo-CA

Duration- Full Time

Must Haves:

Associate degree in facilities related field Required. Trade school education and additional five years trade experience may be considered.

Two to three years Managerial Experience in health care environment preferred.

10 years progressive management experience with at least five years management experience in hospital/healthcare setting.

Must be willing to travel between the 2 facilities - San Luis Obispo and Templeton.

Job Description:

The position provides leadership to the plant maintenance and biomedical engineering departments and is accountable for planning and developing programs and insuring systems are in place to meet the needs of the hospitals (Tenet Health Central Coast Market).Provides leadership in promoting the tenets in the areas of people, service, finance, quality and growth.Responsible for providing department leadership and development in the following categories: (1) Administration (Growth), (2) Clinical (Service and Quality), (3) Financial (Cost), (4) Human Resources (People).Performs other duties as required. Manages the Plant Operations Department of the hospital and oversees the maintenance of office buildings and off-site clinics. Assumes the role as a leader in planning, directing, and managing the department and staff to assure quality service on a 24-hour basis. Responsible for meeting and complying with TJC, CMS, and AHJs standards and regulations. Complying with corporate policy and procedures for managing supplies and equipment, promoting teamwork with physicians and all health care providers to maintain internal and external customer satisfaction, and appropriate resource management.

JOB SPECIFICS:

Supervision:Instructs, reviews, assigns and plans work.

Accountable for:

Meeting current hospital standards

Meeting JCAHO and Title XXII requirements

Demonstrating current knowledge of hospital and departmental policies and procedures

Maintaining good communications and interpersonal relations with patients, community program participants, physicians and hospital employees.

Knowledge of CA Healthcare Facilities Operations

Knowledge of and experience working with CDPH and HCAI, including all aspects of Code, Compliance, and Seismic Safety

Experience with Organized Labor, Staffing Productivity

Acts as the facility Safety Officer.
