Network & Systems Support Engineer

Job Description

LHH is looking for a Network & Systems Support Engineer to aid an established client of ours in the financial industry. This person will be responsible for provisioning, installation/configuration, operation, and maintenance of systems hardware and software, including system analysis and upgrades.

Responsibilities

Provide support to all IT related networks and infrastructure, including IP networks and phone systems.

Install, configure, and maintain system hardware, distributed network equipment, security systems, and other Information Technology infrastructure in accordance with standards and project/operational requirements.

Perform daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of network infrastructure to ensure equipment and software is working appropriately and effectively.

Work with third party vendors and internal staff to resolve application and hardware issues.

Research and recommend infrastructure technologies to meet business needs and priorities

Effectively integrate solutions into the existing network; consult on key projects; help deploy solutions that meet business needs and technical requirements.

Perform regularly schedule backup operations, ensuring all required file systems and system data are successfully backed up to the appropriate media, recovery tapes or disks are created, and media is recycled and sent off site as necessary.

Maintains broad knowledge of best practices and trends in the field and of bank regulatory compliance requirements.

Adhere to and comply with all applicable federal and state laws, regulations, and guidance, including Bank Secrecy Act, USA PATRIOT Act, GLBA, FDIC, FFIEC, FTC, etc.

Requirements

5 years’ relevant experience in network design, implementation, administration and operation.

Thorough knowledge of IT systems hardware and infrastructure including Cisco routers and switches, VPN, VMware, Veeam backup software, ESX, SDWAN, Metro Ethernet, Cloud Firewall, Windows Servers, and Linux Servers.

Knowledge of patch management, Email encryption, Email filtering, Zoom phone system, AV/AntiMalware, CCTV, vulnerability management, M365/Azure.

Knowledge of emerging technologies and vendor roadmaps; ability to balance costs against benefits.

Able to communicate clearly and effectively in a variety of settings, formats, and audiences, utilizing well developed communication skills, both written and oral.

Ability to work independently with self-direction and minimal oversight; maintain sustained attention to detail and work under timeline pressures; prioritize and assign workloads; manage multiple tasks with competing deadlines. Excellent analytical and organizational skills are essential.

Pay Details: $85,000.00 to $115,000.00 per year
