Position Overview

Pivot Onsite Innovations is now hiring an experienced and self-driven Licensed Practical Nurse/Phlebotomy Specialist. This a full time role that provides support at our onsite research specimen collection program located at our client's distribution center in Gaithersburg, MD! Schedule: Monday - Friday 7am - 3:30pm!

Job Summary:The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) performs routine administrative and patient care supportive duties in the client Occupational Health clinic to assist the medical staff in the examination and treatment of patients and ensure office runs smoothly.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Meet with new donors to explain the RSCP

Schedule annual donor requalification clinics

Enter new donors in the RMS system

Coordinate with OHC the handling of lab results and donor paper work

Schedule daily donations

Initiate donor/ request matching in RMS

Pay attention to specific donors needs/issues

Finalize the daily schedule and send it to the requesters

Set up for the next day's donations with the correct type and amount

Enter daily donations into RMS.

Ensure donors have signed the donor consent on the day of donation.

Ensure that the requests have signed off on the "sign out sheet"

Obtain blood or collect nasal swabs from donors.

Ensure that the correct donor number is on all specimens.

Package specimens in a cooler for pick up by the researcher/scientist.

Contact late and "no show" donors as needed.

Find new donors quickly when the scheduled donors fail to show for their donation

Maintain inventory of supplies needed

Submit orders for supplies via Coupa

Restock & clean phlebotomy rooms on a daily basis

Schedule donors and re-qualifications

Make copies of all RSCP documents needed for the donors.

File all daily schedules/donor consents in a locked file.

Maintain the RSCP email by answering any questions or concerns.

Compile payroll overview at the end of each month and submit for process

Forward any issues or concerns to the project manager

Required Education, Skills & Abilities:

Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Licensed Practical Nurse

Phlebotomist certification preferred

Must have a valid state LPN license

Current CPR/First Aid certifications required

Proficient with MS Office

Knowledge of OSHA Recordability, worker’s compensation is a plus

Knowledge of HIPAA compliance

Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships with client and employees
