Project

MLRM (Medical Legal Risk Management) uses a process called the Review Panel Discussion (RPD), Below is a breakdown of the process:

Review and/or Virtual panel conference only, no in-person exam required.

Receive and assess the review materials provided by MLRM for completeness

Compose Summary of Care and Evaluation of Care

Compose Review Document (aka WESC)

Attend Teleconference to discuss review.

Timeframe:

Written review (WESC) within 7 calendar days

Review of additional practitioner statements within 3 calendar days

Revise written work products within 3 calendar days

Propose at least 3 dates for panel conference; must reply within 48 hours of receiving a request

Payrate:

Standard : Tier 2 Max $429 per case

Each panel conference typically takes around 1-3 Hours to complete.

Must have 20 hours a month of active practice.

You will be under Maximus’s coverage but within these reviews you are not liable for anything because you are not diagnosing, seeing any patients, you are merely reviewing a file and providing your medical expert opinion.
