Job Description Summary: Responsible for providing accurate information relating to the practice of cytological screening.

Examines microscopically all gynecologic cytology specimens.

Evaluates and reviews all non-gynecological cytology specimens.

Complies with all standards and requirements of all regulatory, certification and accrediting agencies as outlined in departmental policies.

Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree (Required)CMIAC - Cytotechnologist Membership in the International Academy of Cytology - American Society for Clinical PathologyAmerican Society for Clinical Pathology, CT(Cyto) - Cytotechnology - Association for Death Education and CounselingAssociation for Death Education and Counseling, SCT - SCT - State of OhioState of Ohio Field of Study: chemical, biological or clinical laboratory science AND possess Certification as a CT (ASCP), SCAT(ASCP). Or Bachelor of science degree in chemical, biological or clinical laboratory science AND a graduate of a CAHEA approved school of Cytotechnology AND successfully pass a certifying examination within one year of employment.
