Job Description
West Hollywood Community Housing Corporation is an award winning developer of affordable housing in the City of West Hollywood and the greater Los Angeles area. The Accounts Receivable/Accounts Payable Clerk will assist the Controller with clerical duties, reports and projects to ensure that the objectives and goals of WHCHC’s mission are achieved. The Accounts Receivable/Accounts Payable Clerk is expected to work both independently and with direction, as well as collaborate with other team members.
Essential Duties
· Process approved vendor invoices
· Mail checks to vendors
· Maintain vendor payment files and W-9 binder
· Maintain supporting documentation for HOPWA resident services contract
· Prepare partnership expense reimbursement requests
· Record credit card charges
· Generate service invoices
· Make bank deposits and record cash receipts
· Gather information for annual 1099 forms
· Prepare worksheet for annual CA use tax return
· Assist with annual audits
· Assist with other tasks and special projects as needed
Education/Experience/Skill Set
· Proficient use of accounting software – Sage 50 (formerly Peachtree)
· Proficient use of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Outlook
· Excellent communication skills – written, oral and interpersonal
· Highest level of personal integrity and ethical standards
· Ability to maintain confidentiality
· Excellent organizational and time management skills
· Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
· Ability to establish priorities and work independently in a proactive manner
· Ability to perform repetitive tasks with a high degree of accuracy
· Basic math skills and understanding of accounts payable procedures
· Flexible to assist where needed
· College degree with at least five years of experience
Work Environment/Equipment Used
The work environment will usually be in-person, in a professional office setting, with possible shared workspace. The noise level is usually quiet to moderate. The individual in this position may operate any or all of the following: standard office equipment including personal computer, photocopier and personal automobile.

The Accounts Receivable/Accounts Payable Clerk is required to talk, see and hear. In the course of performing this job, the Accounts Receivable/Accounts Payable Clerk typically spends time sitting, standing, walking, stooping, kneeling, crouching, climbing stairs, listening/speaking, writing, and operating a personal computer and personal automobile. The Accounts Receivable/Accounts Payable Clerk must possess the ability to lift up to 25 lbs.Company Description
