This position is a key role in the company’s management team and has a significant impact on the company’s operating results. This role requires an individual that is comfortable interacting with all levels within the organization, commitment to continuous improvements and possess the ability to create and maintain a collaborative culture within the team and organization. Will be managing seasoned Manufacturing, Controls--Automation, Industrial Engineers, and the maintenance team.

Job Responsibilities

Manage and lead all manufacturing, electrical controls, maintenance, and industrial engineering functions and personnel.

Develop, design, and implement manufacturing systems, processes, tooling, and fixtures to improve productivity and reduce operating cost.

Plan and formulate all project aspects including research, development of proposals, associated cost, equipment, and human resources requirements.

Manage production assembly work measurement system with proven experience in MOST Time Measurement Technique.

Participation in determining staffing requirements for production based on demand levels and labor analysis.

Ensure production capacity exists to meet current and future demand levels.

Develop and foster continuous improvement culture in all areas of operations.

Develop business plan and budget for Engineering group and correlating objectives/targets.

Manage group and ensure completion of objectives and support teams’ professional development

Prepare reports for various departments, executive management, and other company officials upon request.

Ensure that all processes and layouts follow/meet all safety and ergonomic principles

Support all Company initiatives as identified by management and in support of Quality Management Systems (QMS), Environmental Management Systems (EMS), and other regulatory requirements.

Education and Experience

Bachelor of Science degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical or Industrial Engineering discipline or equivalent.

5+ years of leadership and related experience in manufacturing environments

Lean/Sigma Certification preferred

Understand manufacturing concepts like Value Stream mapping, 5S and Visual Workplace to improve quality, labor efficiency, and output.

Strong analytical and project management skills.

High attention to detail, ability to multitask and prioritize assignments/projects.

Strong written and oral communication skills. Ability to communicate effectively with all levels to ensure buy in.

Proficient with Excel, Access, Word, Power Point, Visio, MOST, and AutoCAD.

Strong understanding of Theory of constraints (bottleneck analysis)

Proven project management experience
