Kalcevic Farms Inc. is a multi-generational small grains farm located north of Bennett Colorado. We are seeking an experienced Bookkeeper to join an upbeat and engaging team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of accounting principles and practices, as well as financial reporting, budgeting, and analysis. This is an opportunity to be part of an innovative and progressive farm business. You will report to the General Manager/CEO and provide a supporting role in tax and financial reporting. WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

Bachelor’s degree in the area of accounting, finance, or related field. CPA certification a plus.

A combination of post-high school education, job related certification and experience equivalent to 5 years, may be considered in lieu of a degree.

Strong understanding of GAAP accounting principles

Microsoft Products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)

Accounting Software: QuickBooks required.

Tax principles and understanding.

Independent worker and part of a team, accuracy driven, and high level of confidentiality.

Ability to work in office with option for hybrid after proven performance.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Accounts Payable and Receivables

Inter-company and related party billing for multiple entities quarterly.

Maintain spreadsheets required for reporting purposes. Knowledge of intermediate to advanced Excel level formulas is a must.

Develop and maintain internal controls to ensure accuracy and integrity of financial data.

Prepare various reports for management and external review.

Manage cash flows and forecasting.

Liaise with external auditors, tax advisors and vendors.

Assist with tax planning execution and financial statement preparation.

Assist management with budgets and forecasting for multiple crops over multiple years.

TIME AND BENEFITS

Full time 35-40 hours a week on average.

Hourly rates from $25- $35 based on experience. Direct deposit and online benefits tracking.
