NOW HIRING: Behavioral Health and Addiction Services Division Manager

Under the direction of the Director of Health Systems & Planning, this position serves as a Division Manager and assists in planning, developing, budgeting, and administering assigned HSP programs; implements program activities in alignment with the Community Health Assessment (HealthMap 2022) Community Health Improvement Plan (CHIP) and Agency strategic plan. Responsible for overall management and oversight of the Behavioral Health & Addiction Services Section programs and assigned personnel. This position focuses on providing excellent customer service to internal and external customers; Interactive discussions with citizens, vendors, clients, patrons, and applicants to gather and process information; cooperative/ coordinating responsibility with other divisions, offices, sections of the agency and with community partners.

Duties Include:

Provides guidance and oversight for the planning, development, implementation, and evaluation of community-based injury prevention programs that focuses on the causes of mental and behavioral health, substance use disorders, adverse childhood experiences and trauma leading to overdose injury for Franklin County residents.

Assists in monitoring and approving expenditures; contributes to budget preparation; research’s new funding sources; negotiates service contracts for assigned programs.

Assists in identifying, planning, and administering new program development.

Supervision and review of individual and team performance. Provides direct and indirect supervision, coaching, and oversight to direct and indirect staff with performance evaluations, mentoring and discipline. Leads candidate reviewing, interviewing, and providing hiring recommendations.

Manages resource planning, budgetary review, and resource allocations.

Provides comprehensive management and oversight for community initiatives and programs, and provides supervision, mentoring, and oversight to BHAS staff.

Assists Director to determine Health Systems and Planning division needs, the needs of the BHAS Section, community engagement and outreach, program planning, implementation, and strategic planning for behavioral/mental health and addiction services programs. Writes detailed and complex reports.

Organizational Leadership through maintenance and promotion of an inclusive and professional working environment; downstream communication of and alignment with FCPH goals, mission, equity initiatives, and leadership objectives.

Utilizes appropriate methods for interacting effectively and professionally with persons of all ages and from diverse cultural, socioeconomic, educational, racial, and ethnic backgrounds, sexual orientations, lifestyles, and physical abilities.

Performs other related duties as assigned.

Position Requirements:

Master’s degree with a focus in social work, social services, public health or public administration and at least 4 years’ work experience in a public health agency (OR)

A bachelor’s degree with over 10 years of public health experience or working in a public health agency

(AND)

One to three years of direct supervision experience or leadership equivalent.

Remote work is available however Division Managers may need to be in the office at a minimum of 2-days per week.

Experience in grants management, federal grants management experience preferred.

Strong organizational skills with an attention to detail and accuracy, customer service skills with the ability to learn new information quickly.

Technical proficiency needed with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), databases, accounting systems.

Valid Ohio driver’s license and ability to meet insurability requirements.

Some evening and weekend hours required.

Hiring Wage Range: $37.20/hour - $42.78/hour. This is a non-exempt position.
