Learn more at About the job: The Patient Care Pharmacist, within the scope of the Ohio Pharmacist Practice Act, will provide timely, accurate, cost effective, and patient-centric pharmaceutical care.

What we are looking for: Education: Bachelor or Doctor of Pharmacy required Licensure / Certification: Current license to practice as a Registered Pharmacist in the State of Ohio.

Experience: PGY1 residency or three years of institutional pharmacy experience in an advanced clinical setting is preferred Effective Communication Skills Demonstrates the ability to plan, organize and manage pharmaceutical care, including delegating tasks to and providing direction to other members of the pharmacy team Performs work independently with minimum supervision, and is effective in a stressful environment What you will do: Coordinates the preparation, distribution, and dispensing of medication as appropriate in compliance with state and federal regulations and laws, accreditation standards, and departmental policies and procedures; directs and assists pharmacy support staff.

Maintains personal compliance and assists in maintenance of departmental compliance with continuous regulatory readiness.

Also maintains records related to the transactions of the pharmacy, to achieve adequate control and accountability for all drugs, including controlled substances.

Assists in the management of pharmacy inventory by providing information to pharmacy purchasing, removing expired contaminated or deteriorated stock when detected, helping maintain perpetual inventories, and processing non-formulary requests.

Interprets, evaluates and verifies all medication orders.

Collaborates with multidisciplinary team in order to assure optimal and cost effective drug therapy.

This includes adjusting drug dosing and schedules, recommending the most efficacious therapy, practicing stewardship in antibiotics, performing drug consults and monitoring, and detecting possible adverse drug reactions, food/drug interactions, drug/drug interactions, and allergic cross reactivity.
