This role requires in-person attendance in our San Mateo, CA office at least 3 days per week.

We're looking for a BI Analyst to join our growing Finance BI team. In this role, you will support the Product Finance team with the data, analysis, and reporting needed to derive valuable insights around the financial performance of Snowflake's products. In this role, you will:

Work with a wide range of finance, engineering, and product stakeholders to identify use cases and gather requirements for analysis, reporting, and automation

Research data from key business systems, work with IT to ingest data into Snowflake, assess data quality, map requirements to available data, architect data models and data pipelines, and design end-to-end business intelligence solutions to support our product finance team

Analyze data to shed light on key business questions and present on findings

Build data apps to enable ongoing delivery of information and insights to finance, product, and engineering stakeholders

Formulate project plans, provide status updates, and work with finance team members to perform user testing and QA

Build and maintain user friendly documentation for data models, metrics, and reporting

Think creatively to find optimal solutions to our complex, often unstructured problems

Identify weaknesses in processes, data, and systems, and drive improvements WHAT YOU WILL NEED:

Required Skills:

3+ years of experience in data science, BI analysis, or analytics engineering

Advanced SQL skills, with experience using SQL to perform analysis, standardize queries, and build large-scale relational datasets

Experience developing, deploying, and maintaining enterprise level reports using BI tools such as Streamlit, Tableau, Power BI, Looker, or other relevant technologies

Experience with MPP databases such as Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery, or other relevant technologies

Ability to communicate in an effective and efficient manner with a wide range of technical and non-technical stakeholders, including senior leaders

Ability to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure, constantly changing environment

Ability to think creatively to solve problems

An impulse for introducing structure and simplicity into vague, complex problems

An obsession for detail and quality

An ability to identify weaknesses in data and process, and a willingness to drive improvement

A bias for action Preferred Skills:

Experience with ERP and Financial Planning tools

Experience using Python to parse, structure, and transform data

Experience leading or working within a scrum, sprint, or other agile framework

Past experience supporting product or product finance stakeholders

Experience working with cost attribution models for SaaS products and tying products out to CSP cost reports

Familiarity with cloud cost management and understanding of cost structures in cloud environments

Demonstrated experience in cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)
