Due to MSG's continued growth in our Transportation Division, a new opening is available for a Senior Engineering Project Manager!
In the transportation/traffic field, MSG is on the leading edge of autonomous vehicles & smart roads, smart streets downtown transportation, transportation demand management, modern interchange & intersection designs, multi-modal systems and corridor management/complete street.
Key Responsibilities
You will provide support for transportation, traffic planning and design projects. This includes working with the public and private sectors as they relate to multi-modal transportation planning, transit planning, traffic micro simulation, parking, site planning & development, complete streets, pedestrian & bicycle facilities, traffic impact studies and integrated land use/transportation planning.
Manage the design, implementation, evaluation, and testing of transportation proposal packages
Creates, oversees, and manages the master progress schedule to meet all time objectives; uses project management principles in planning and closing projects
Monitors quality and progress of project staff, designers, engineers, subcontractors and other professionals to ensure scope, budget, schedule and quality is met
Organizes and creates documents for public bids and Request for Proposals (RFPs); assists in establishing initial budgets, review of estimates, and solicitation of bids to meet budget requirements and maintain cost effectiveness
Reviews and approves contracts; prepares budget and financial reporting to manage financial aspects of contracts
Performs engineering related calculations; recommends design criteria; resolves infrastructure conflicts; resolves plan design issues with geometric layouts; implements solutions to mitigate schedule delays and budget over runs; assists with legal liability issues and contractual disputes
