Position: Director of Accounting
Location: Columbus, OH
Salary Range: $150,000 - $170,000

The Superior Group is looking for a Director of Accounting to oversee and manage the Accounting functions (Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger, and Payroll). This role is based at our headquarters in Columbus, Ohio.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger, and Payroll
Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, and assist with regulatory reporting, as applicable
Identify and address variances and financial trends
Find ways to continuously improve internal accounting processes
Support quarterly and annual financial audit and tax activities
Oversee the completion of monthly account reconciliations
Partner with external auditors to ensure a successful closing and reporting at year-end
Assist with managing the company's cash flow and liquidity
Drive a high level of compliance with GAAP
Ensure compliance with tax regulations, including payroll, sales and use, and income tax filings

Your Expertise
You have 10+ years of experience in corporate accounting
You earned your bachelor’s degree in Accounting
You have prior experience in managing and developing direct reports and teams
CPA or MBA is preferred
Bonus points if you are familiar with finance in the construction industry
