Job Summary:
The Vice President of Supply Chain will provide leadership and strategy for the procurement of food and packaging supplies for assigned brand product categories and distribution for assigned regions.
Reporting to the Chief Advisor, the VP of Supply Chain will be accountable for the people and priorities in procurement, buying power and distribution for the vast growth plans for Charley’s, Bibibop and Lenny’s.

Key Accountabilities:
Food and Packaging
Manage supplier relationships and negotiate contract pricing for assigned food and packaging product categories
Conduct commodity analysis, develop and execute Risk Management strategies for assigned food and packaging product categories
Develop and execute supply contingency plans for assigned product and distribution services as needed
Develop and execute purchasing strategies for assigned food and packaging product categories
Deliver cost reduction options for assigned food and paper products categories
Resolve and communicate all quality issues reported for food and packaging product categories
Distribution
Negotiate distribution contracts for assigned food and packaging products categories
Manage relationships with assigned distribution members
Manage the communication/information flow to the assigned distributors
Enforce contractual compliance with assigned distribution members
Promotions
Manage the sourcing of new products required for LTO promotions within assigned category responsibility
Analyze inventory requirements and coordinate production of LTO products
Manage distributor inventory levels of LTO products to optimize availability and obsolescence
Provide communication and feedback to all internal and external members of the promotion team
Risk Management
Develop and manage the implementation of risk management strategies
Provide market information and insight on key impact commodities: cheese, poultry, beef, resin, and paper
Reporting and Analysis
Complete analysis and provide timely reporting to management regarding Price Forecast, Cost Reduction Initiatives, Risk Management, Commodity Insights, and Special Project progress
Communication
Provide timely information to the Franchise Business Consultant, Franchise Advisory Committee, Leadership teams for all brands, Monthly and Quarterly Business Meetings, monthly newsletters, etc.
Operator Support
Ensure timely delivers and uninterrupted supply of food and packaging products for brand assigned distributors
Provide problem resolution for operator issues with distributors and suppliers
Support the FBC’s and RM’s in their request for assistance
Coordinate distribution of food and packaging products to all new stores

Qualifications and Requirements:
Solid track records leading in a high growth environment
Current or previous experience in a VP of Procurement and Distribution role
Strategic mindset – proven results with strategy for growth, and profit drivers; and strategy for talent acquisition and retention of team
Minimum of 10 years of progressive purchasing experience
Experience in restaurant or retail industry a must
Minimum of 5 years of leadership experience
MBA or Masters in a related field desired
Minimum of 25% travel required
CPM preferred
