Role: GIS Administrator

Location: Columbus Ohio(Locals only)

The candidate will be supporting The Agency Office of Data Governance to develop GIS solutions using geospatial tools and analytic platforms based around ODOT’s transportation assets.

This position will function as a highly skilled CGA with specific responsibilities that include:

Developing and supporting of GIS based mobile data collection applications

Providing direct support for enterprise GIS implementation

Lead efforts support of various GIS software and hardware systems.

Leads team to develop various GIS and BI tools to support ODOT’s Transportation Asset Management Program.

Perform software testing and routine maintenance.

Create dashboards and/or reports utilizing analytic BI and geospatial tools

Assist with phone and online problem reporting and maintaining problem report records.

Develop workflows for asset inventory/inspection applications

Monitor system status and data integrity

Create customized geoprocessing scripts and reports that utilize computer programming language (i.e., SQL, Python, DAX)

Develop data models and Technical Requirements Specifications documents to support application development

Technical writing skills to create/update manuals and guides based off business needs

Communicate status to managers and project sponsors.

7. Must be knowledgeable in the English language/speak clearly and understandably use the English language.

8. Ability to translate business needs to ODOT’s GIS systems

Required Skills:

4 year college degree or equivalent technical study.

5 years of ArcGIS for Desktop experience

3 years editing and maintaining data in a GIS environment

1 year of Python (or similar scripting) experience (ArcPy knowledge a plus)

1 year of Microsoft Power BI experience

Desired Skills:

Linear Referencing Systems knowledge

ArcGIS Online (Webmap creation, Web AppBuilder, Experience Builder)

ArcGIS Field Maps

ESRI Tools (ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Desktop)

Python

Microsoft SQL

Microsoft Power BI

MS Office Produces (Excel, Word, Outlook, Access)
