Position summary: National leader in Highway maintenance management's corporate office in Buckeystown, MD has an immediate opening for a full time Administrative Assistant to support the Human Resources Team with various data entry, New Hire process, out-processing, recruiting, Benefit enrollments, performance evaluations, and other HR duties as needed.

Requirements: Customer service orientation Excellent organization and independent work skills Detail Oriented Problem solver; analytical thinking skills Strong oral and written communication skills Excellent general computer skills to include MS Excel Prior Human Resource experience preferred.

Bilingual preferred (Spanish) Maryland Notary a plus Responsibilities: Office Support: Answer phones and direct calls to appropriate individuals, copy documents, prepare letters, memos and reports according to instruction.

Record keeping: Maintain employee records and files, including background reports, drug screens, new hire paperwork, out-processing paperwork, performance reviews, and benefit enrollments.

Data entry: Perform data entry for recruiting, human resources and training as required.

Recruiting: Post job openings, review resumes, and schedule interviews Payroll Process and benefits: Assist with data entry of New Hire information into various systems and assist with Benefit enrollment efforts and administration.

Employee relations: Respond to employee inquiries regarding HR policies and procedures, update HR team with leave requests and vacation requests and other employee or manager requests.

New Hire and Post Hire: Assist in New Hire training, and off boarding processes and paperwork.

Reports: Prepare and distribute HR-related reports as needed Develop strong customer service-oriented relationships with project personnel.

Manage and maintain the Service Anniversary Program Schedule: Full time in office-Monday-Friday 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM Total Compensation Package to include Competitive base pay, annual profitability-based bonus, recognition incentives and extensive training opportunities.
