At Klosterman Baking Company our Maintenance Technician position is responsible for performing a broad range of maintenance activities to maintain the facility, equipment, machinery and production operations.

Pay $28.50/hour - Sunday to Wednesday (Required to work weekends as needed) - 6:00am- 6:00pm

Maintenance Technician Responsibilities:

General Repairs: Perform repairs and maintenance tasks in various areas of the building, including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, painting, and other trades as required.

Troubleshoot and repair equipment and machinery for mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, or other problems using schematics, drawings, manuals, multi-meters, etc.

Preventive Maintenance: Conduct routine inspections and implement preventive maintenance measures to identify and address potential issues before they escalate. This includes inspecting and servicing HVAC systems, plumbing fixtures, electrical systems, and other building components.

Emergency Response: Respond to emergency maintenance requests promptly, assess the situation, and implement temporary or permanent repairs as needed. This may involve addressing issues such as leaks, power outages, equipment failures, or other emergencies.

Documentation: Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs performed, and parts used. Update maintenance logs, work orders, and other relevant documentation to ensure a comprehensive maintenance history is maintained.

Communication: Communicate effectively with building occupants, supervisors, and other stakeholders regarding maintenance activities, repair schedules, and any disruptions that may occur. Provide clear instructions or guidelines to occupants on the safe usage and maintenance of building systems or equipment.

Maintenance Technician Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent. Additional technical or vocational training in relevant trades is advantageous.

• Proven experience in building maintenance, repair, or a related field.

• Strong knowledge and practical skills in various trades such as electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, and painting.

• Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot issues efficiently and provide effective solutions.

• Knowledge of safety procedures and regulations related to building maintenance.

• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact with occupants, colleagues, and external contractors.

• Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage time effectively.

• Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy objects, climb ladders, and etc.

Requirements

Maintenance Technician Requirements:

Must have open availability

Starting pay up to $28.50 /hour depending on experience

Experience with 3 phase and low voltage power

Experience with fasteners, hand & power tools, precision measurement tools, gearboxes, bearings, rotating equipment, and assembly/disassembly of machinery

Experience Welding and Fabrication

Experience with photo eyes, prox. switches, etc.

Knowledge in use of calipers and micrometers

Experience with broad range of hand tools

Strong teamwork capabilities

Familiar with general plumbing using PVC, Copper and black iron pipe

Able to push, pull, and carry up to 50 pounds and maneuver in tight places (in and around machinery)

Good communication skills, self-motivated and detail oriented

Required to purchase slip-resistant shoes prior to start date
