As a Maintenance Planner, your primary responsibility would be to ensure the smooth operation of machinery and equipment by scheduling and coordinating maintenance activities. Your duties might include:
Planning Maintenance Tasks: Collaborating with maintenance technicians and engineers to plan preventive and corrective maintenance tasks for machinery and equipment.
Scheduling Maintenance Activities: Developing maintenance schedules to minimize downtime and optimize productivity, considering factors like production schedules and equipment availability.
Resource Allocation: Coordinating with procurement and inventory management to ensure the availability of necessary spare parts, tools, and resources for maintenance activities.
Documentation and Record-Keeping: Maintaining accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, equipment histories, and maintenance schedules.
Continuous Improvement: Identifying opportunities for improving maintenance processes, efficiency, and reliability of equipment.
Safety Compliance: Ensuring that maintenance activities comply with safety regulations and company policies to maintain a safe working environment for all personnel.
Communication: Acting as a liaison between maintenance, production, and other departments to coordinate maintenance activities and minimize disruptions to production.
While a four-year degree is not required for this role, relevant experience in manufacturing or maintenance operations is required.
