JOIN THE TEAM

Our product family “Digital Laboratory” advises and supports the digitization of various BASF units in the field of research and development. As a senior developer, you will support and expand laboratory data systems with a focus on data acquisition systems, laboratory measurement equipment and interfaces for intersystem communication. You support and advise our partners on complex IT application aspects as well as on the digitization and automation of laboratory processes. You design, develop, document, and maintain tailored applications for our partners (R&D labs of BASF)

RESPONSIBILITIES

Study or training in the field of computer science, natural sciences or a similar subject (e.g. lab technician)

Experience in Agile (Scrum/KANBAN) project methodologies.

English, additionally German preferred

Used to complex software architectures

Experienced in documentation of application design, web services and workflows

Proven ability to collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams, communicate technical concepts clearly, and continuously improve the software development and delivery processes.

Demonstrate a passion for learning and a willingness to adopt new technologies.

Focus on user experience and user satisfaction.

Experience in a regulated environment (GLP, GMP, etc.) is of an advantage.

Experience with Azure DevOps is of an advantage.

QUALIFICATIONS

Clean Code and KISS principles are part of your daily coding routine.

Proficient in developing Java (EE), JavaScript/TypeScript (Full Stack)

Experience with .NET stack is of an advantage

Deep knowledge of object- and functionally oriented languages, design principles, design patterns, RESTful API design and implementation

Experienced in designing software architecture.

Experienced with software build, test & analysis tools (e.g., Maven)

Experienced with DevOps and CI/CD concepts.

Experienced with Cloud native technologies and processes (e.g., Docker, K8S)

Experienced with data modelling and SQL (Preferably Oracle & PostgreSQL DBMS)

Experienced with Frameworks: Spring, Angular, Bootstrap
