CHARACTERISTIC DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES * Provide services to athletes who are participating on VTSU Johnson varsity athletic teams, including but not limited to injury prevention, evaluation, rehabilitation, immediate care, and treatment of athletic injuries.

* Work under the direction of the VTSU Johnson Medical Director and make referrals to physicians and outside medical facilities as appropriate.

* Coordinate proper pre-season physical screening examination for all VTSU Johnson * Keep open lines of communication with the Head Athletic Trainer, coaches, VTSU Johnson Medical Director, and VTSU Johnson Wellness Center * Maintain appropriate clinical records and prepare reports as required * Coordinate and Administer VTSU Johnson Strength and Conditioning Program MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: * Graduated from a Commission on Accreditation of Athletic Training Education (CAATE) accredited Athletic Training program * National Athletic Trainers Association Certification (NATABOC). * Current CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer Certification * Available weekday late afternoons, evenings, and weekends * Ability to establish and maintain effective and productive working relations with athletic staff, coaches, student-athletes, VTSU Johnson Wellness Center, physicians, and all other related personnel PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: * Instructor Certification for CPR/AED/First Aid via American Red Cross or American Heart Association * Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) Certification VSC UP PAT Bargaining Unit Grade: 11 FLSA: Exempt Full-time-10 Months In conjunction with our compensation package, VTSU offers a robust benefits package.
