Project Manager

Job Title: Project Manager - WMS and Logistics, Contract-to-Hire Location: Northwest Columbus, Ohio

Job Type: Contract-to-Hire, On site 4 days a week

Introduction: Our customer is a trusted partner for logistics solutions, and they are seeking a Project Manager with specialized expertise in Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and logistics. This contract-to-hire role is crucial for supporting Maven's logistics customers, aiming to enhance operational efficiencies and service excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead the delivery of WMS and logistics projects for Maven's logistics customers, ensuring compliance with timelines, budget constraints, scope, and quality standards.

Collaborate closely with IT, operations, Maven representatives, and external vendors to develop tailored WMS solutions.

Oversee all project phases from initiation to closure, applying robust project management methodologies.

Create detailed project documentation, manage budgets, and prepare comprehensive status reports.

Implement risk management strategies throughout the project lifecycle and ensure mitigation of potential issues.

Act as the main communication link between all project stakeholders, facilitating smooth information flow and decision-making.

Provide training and support on new WMS implementations and logistics practices.

Assess project results to identify lessons learned and best practices for future initiatives.

Qualifications:

At least 5 years of project management experience, specifically in WMS and logistics.

Project management certification (e.g., PMP, Prince2) is highly desirable.

Deep understanding of logistics and warehouse operations, with practical knowledge of leading WMS platforms.

Excellent leadership, organizational, and time management skills.

Strong analytical skills with a proven track record in problem-solving and process improvement.

Effective communication and interpersonal abilities, capable of engaging diverse stakeholder groups.
