Responsibilities

We have an immediate need for a highly skilled and experienced Human Resources Generalist to join our dynamic Human Resources team. This role is critical in providing a collaborative environment with internal SPA organizations and will work with the HR Leadership Team to facilitate a variety of employee actions and initiatives. The ideal candidate will have proven proficiency in multiple core areas of the HR field to include employee benefits and leave management, compensation, and employee relations. This role will be in-person and based out of our headquarters in Alexandria, VA.

Key Responsibilities:

Collaborate on multiple projects in a fast-paced environment with the ability to adjust prioritizations and routinely provide recommendations for course of action and HR best practices.

Must have a working knowledge of employee benefits and leave programs and general HR compliance matters. Prior experience as a HRBP and with compensation programs a plus.

Strong communication, time management, attention to detail, and analytical problem-solving skills.

Serve as a trusted advisor to management and employees on a wide range of employment-related initiatives.

Develop and maintain positive relationships with employees at all levels, promoting an open-door policy, and fostering a culture of inclusivity and respect.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Labor Relations, Business Administration, or related field; Master's degree or relevant certification (e.g., SHRM-SCP, SPHR) is preferred

6+ years of experience in an HR role with broad range of generalist expertise

Proven track record of successfully handling complex HR projects requiring multi-team collaboration

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite with an ability to provide cohesive presentations and briefings

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with employees at all levels

Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion
