2nd Shift Fabrication Hardware Assistant

Hiring Opportunity: Columbus, OH

Our client specializes in precision sheet metal fabrication, precision machining, copper fabrication, engineering for manufacturability, and electromechanical assembly. In this role, you will support various departments on the shop floor which include but Fabrication, Hardware insertion, Shipping/Packaging, and Powder (prep)dept. Lastly, you will also train in the Assembly of Metal Cabinetry and ancillary products for Power, Telecommunication and Technology industries.

Job Requirements

Skills sets Needed:

- Ability to read/learn to read and accurately interpret prints.

- Previous knowledge, experience interest in metal work/fabrication; assembly of products etc.

- Ability to accurately identify various metals such as a variety of Steels, Aluminum, etc.

- Ability to learn Hardware insertion.

- Operate Finishing equipment such as a Fladder, Hand grinders, deburring equipment, etc.

- Mechanically inclined and able to use a variety of power and hand tools.

- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs. with regularity. (average parts run 2-15 lbs.)

- Physical ability to stand, squat, bend, reach, pull and push during course of an 8 or 10 hour shift.

- Attention to detail and fine tactical ability.

- Organizational skills.

- Forklift and Pallet jack experience.

- Reliable/dependable attendance record.

- Ability to take direction; working as a part of a team as well as independently.

- Minimal computer experience (Word/Excel, business software system).

Preferred Experience:

- Minimal computer experience (Word/Excel, business software system).

- Job Shop experience preferred.

Education:

- High school or equivalent
