What You Would Be Doing
We want people to join our team who share our values of love, excellence, respect, empowerment, and well-being. The ideal candidate will support the residential team and individuals with general administrative duties. This position must pass and maintain DODD qualifications as an LOC assessor.
Primary Job Responsibilities
Medicaid and Benefits
Complete new Medicaid applications, follow up on submitted applications, correspond with Medicaid for completion and accuracy
Complete Medicaid Redetermination questionnaires and provide information requested
Complete evaluations for Level of Care (LOC)
Maintain ICF Bed Days spreadsheet by updating current months information
Insurance Benefits
Maintain private insurance benefits and correspond with insurance company
Maintain Medicaid and Medicare benefits and complete all supporting documentation
Attend in-person appointments at the local Medicaid office
Financial
Gather tax documents and provide to tax preparers
Gather financial statements and complete annual payee report
Complete paperwork, track account balances, and request contributions and/or disbursements for STABLE (Trust Savings Accounts)
Review and reconcile individual client cash accounts, checking for accuracy and completion
Minimum Qualifications, Experience & Education:
High School Diploma or equivalent
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Excellent computer skills – including spreadsheets and word processing tools – and ability to learn new programs expeditiously
Excellent written and communication skills
One year of experience working as an Administrative Assistant
Preferred Qualifications, Experience & Education:
Associate degree.
One to two years’ experience in the field of developmental disabilities
Two years of experience working as an Administrative Assistant
Licensure/Certification:
Meet Department of Developmental Disabilities (DODD) qualifications as an assessor within the first three months of employment.
Must pass the exam for administering the LOC application through DODD within the first three months of employment.
Ability to obtain and maintain First Aid, CPR - adult, child, and infant
Valid driver’s license and insurable driving record, if applicable
