We are partnering with a key client in the construction industry to identify an Instructional Designer/ Facilitator. They have a large training need as they donâ t really have a training department within the organization. Typically, training has been conducted by HR team members and SMEs, leading to inadequate training and pulling others from their day to day duties. As a result of this plus the addition revised policies, they need a Learning/Leadership Development consultant to come in and assist.
Responsibilities:
Assess skill gaps for managers and develop and implement a training curriculum to support upskilling and onboarding for new managers
Develop metrics to measure baseline and improvements over time
Partner with leadership to develop and facilitate instructor-led training (ILT) to improve management coaching and employee development practices and teach related standards to management
Review policies and standards, consult with policy owners and SMEs to design and facilitate appropriate instructor-led and online training content for staff
Determine audiences and vary content accordingly
Delivery of ILT content to new manager audience
Start: mid-late June
Duration: through 2024 with possible extension
Hours: 40 hours per week, 8am â 5pm ET
Location: approximately 25% onsite in Reston, VA; approximately 75% Virtual
Experience requirements:
Strong Instructional Design background
Experience with Leadership Development
Strong facilitation skills, especially to new managers
Experience conducting skill gap analysis
Experience working in a cross-functional, collaborative environment
Experience with a technical audience (engineers) is helpful
Experience with Microsoft Office tools
Consultant to provide own license and laptop
The pay range for this project is $60.00 to $70.00 per hour. Individual pay is determined by a number of factors, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, relevant education, certifications and specific work location.
