Regional Engineer (Geotechnical/Geohazard)

gpac has an immediate need for a Geotechnical/Geohazard Engineer who would lead the geotechnical/geohazard mitigation design efforts in the Northeast U.S. The ideal candidate will be hands-on, able to travel as needed, and possess at least 5 years experience in the geotechnical and/or geohazard field: tiebacks, soil nails, rockfall mitigation, landslide repairs, rockfall mitigation, grouting etc.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Lead the geotechnical/geohazard mitigation efforts for Northeast region.

Develop designs, plans, and construction cost estimates.

Review and direct the work of engineering staff for projects.

Be present in the field to provide on-site engineering support.

Attend conferences in representation of company.

QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering

P.E. licensure

Thorough knowledge of geotechnical/geohazard techniques and methods: tiebacks, soil nails, rockfall mitigation, landslide repairs, rockfall mitigation, grouting etc

Understanding micropile shoring and slope stabilization calculations

Skilled with AutoCAD, Excel, and Word software.

Strong work ethic, positive attitude and good communication skills is a must

Self-starter with ability to work independently or with minimal supervision
