The ideal candidate will be responsible for...

* Prioritizing assignments and preparing sensitive and detailed correspondence, such as responses to requests for information or regularly recurring reports, from rough draft or dictation * Preparing routine, as well as non-routine, correspondence, legal documents, forms, presentations, and the like using advanced knowledge and skills with word processing related and other software programs; efficiently proofreading and editing text for grammatical and typographical errors, and occasionally for content * Supporting the billing process to include management of time-entry, data review and correction, final submission to meet all Firm-required deadlines, maintenance of billing records, and research of disputes and discrepancies * Litigation Duties: * Preparing of witness binders and trial binders * Deposition preparation and logistics: scheduling conference room(s), breakout room(s), preparing deposition binders, coordinating the receipt of the transcript, communicating with court reporter and payment of invoice * Receiving electronic filing notifications from courts for cases via Pacer accounts and court ECF accounts * Exhibits for filings: downloading pleadings and exhibits, saving them to the appropriate location (L drive, iManage) * Managing various client-driven activities, such as conflict checks and waivers, engagement letters, and business development initiatives * Scheduling appointments, making travel and/or meeting arrangements, process expense reports, and maintaining business calendars as instructed * Effectively establishing and maintaining well organized files, while managing the integrity of original client documents in various formats, such as hardcopy, electronic, and various eRoom platforms The successful candidate will demonstrate...

* A minimum of three plus year prior relevant work experience within a law firm or professional services environment is required * Prior experience working within a Litigation practice group is required * Knowledge of eFiling in all court systems * Experience using Pacer accounts and court ECF accounts * Demonstrated proficiency in MS Office Suite, including advanced use of MS Word (redlining, comparing documents, advanced formatting, TOA creation and manipulation, and insertion of hyperlinks) * Familiarity with document management systems (Worksite/Filesite is preferred) * Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, the ability to balance multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment, and the ability to manage confidential information with discretion * Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team * Flexibility to work some overtime, as needed * Flexibility to travel with trial teams when necessary.

#ind123 CORE REQUIREMENTS * Minimum of three (3) to five (5) years prior relevant work experience within a Law Firm and Professional Services environment is required.

* Prior experience working within a Litigation practice group is required.

* Knowledge of eFiling in all court systems * Experience using Pacer accounts and court ECF accounts * Advanced use of MS Word (including redlining, comparing documents, advanced formatting, TOA and TOC creation and manipulation, and embedded hyperlinks) as well as an ability to quickly learn other applications as necessary.

* Intermediate to advanced level skills using MS Office Suite, in addition to strong computer aptitude in order to use various features of multiple software programs (including Adobe, Best Authority, eFiling, DocuSign, PDF Essentials, various ERoom platforms, DropBox, etc.). * Proficiency in the use of document management systems (iManage Work preferred). * Ability to efficiently read and write in order to proof and edit (using edit marks) non-routine correspondence, reports and tables for typographical (spelling and grammar) errors, and sentence structure; meticulous attention to detail is essential.

* Ability to draft routine correspondence, perform non-complex arithmetic calculations, and organize and maintain record keeping and filing systems.

* Ability to transcribe legal documents, correspondence, and reports from rough draft, dictation, or transcription.

* Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills necessary to convey to and obtain information from various levels of internal and external clients.

* Must be a pro-active forward thinker, willing to work and think with independence, handle confidential information with discretion, and accept responsibility for producing work that is consistently complete, timely, effective and accurate.

* Ability to organize and prioritize numerous tasks and complete them under time constraints * Excellent organization and problem solving skill.

* Ability to follow and convey instructions effectively with a high degree of courtesy and tact, including the ability to independently initiate follow-up.

* Good multi-tasking and time management skills.

* Ability to work for more than one person and prioritize assignments appropriately.
