We are busy office seeking a skilled and compassionate Clinical Coordinator to join our team, a leading reconstructive plastic surgery practice in Falls Church/Merrifield area. The Clinical Coordinator is the first face of the practice and will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our clinic, providing exceptional care and support to our patients throughout their journey. This position requires a dynamic individual with strong organizational skills, attention to detail, ability to follow through with appointed tasks and a passion for patient care, all within a fast paced environment.

Requirements for the position:

Ability to work a minimum of 40 hours per week

Integrity and honesty, with the ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities in a fast-paced environment

Willingness to help and contribute to wherever help is needed to improve overall office success with a "team player" outlook

Basic knowledge of insurance, health records systems and HIPAA regulations

Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with patients, caregivers, and healthcare professionals.

1-2 years of medical office experience

Responsibilities:

Coordinate patient appointments, surgeries, and follow-up care.

Serve as the primary point of contact for patients, addressing inquiries and providing support throughout their treatment process.

Collaborate closely with the surgical team, including surgeons, nurses, and medical assistants, to ensure seamless patient care.

Manage patient documentation and medical records, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory standards.

Verification of insurance benefits (workers comp. knowledge a plus!)

Facilitate communication between patients and other healthcare providers as needed.

Assist with administrative tasks such as scheduling, billing, and incoming/outgoing faxes

Participate in staff meetings, take meeting minutes, and confirm details of follow up appointments
