The SAIC Innovation sales team strives for excellence and is looking to add a highly motivated Principal Technical Sales Executive to join our team. This internal position is responsible for learning, positioning, and closing SAIC’s suite of commercial offerings. Additionally, this role will also include sales of SAIC’s strategic partners and the joint capabilities of the partnerships. The primary markets for this role will include Space/ NIC agencies. This position is an internal position and is based in the Washington, D.C. metro region. You must have the ability to work closely with both business development and CTO organizations, articulate complex solutions, build and maintain executive level relationships, navigate across a variety of organizations/business units, and proactively drive SAIC’s commercial business.

As a Technical Sales Executive Senior Principal you will

Be responsible for working with federal civilian business development, technology subject matter experts and leadership staff

Assist SAIC in building lasting client relationships and delivering exceptional customer service

Be independent and enjoy moving from one customer to the next as you continue qualifying and closing new opportunities within the pipeline

Participate in strategic planning sessions with customer success and business development teams

Work collaboratively with sales counterparts, pricing, contracts, subject matter experts and other supporting teams

Prepare sales contracts and purchase order invoices for the commercial offerings

Help internal customers better understand SAIC’s Innovation offerings, while capturing their requirements and needs

Articulating and creatively converting end user needs and requirements into executables for SAIC business development teams

Maintain an updated and accurate sales pipeline in CRM

Generate sales forecasts and brief sales pipeline to leadership

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree and 10 Years of experience

The ability to get a security clearance

Previous experience working with/in a lead solutions integrator or consulting firm

Previous experience working with or supporting space agencies

Motivated with excellent organizational skills

Self-starter with the ability to work independently, but also manage expectations of both customers, employees, and peers

Strong communicator - written, verbal, listening, and presentation

Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to implement systematic approaches to scale within a fast-paced environment

An aptitude for understanding technology products and solutions

US Citizen

Working knowledge of Salesforce

Working knowledge of Jira

MS Office Suite
