Job Summary
A leading engineering and design firm is seeking a Mechanical Designer to join its team in EITHER Eugene, Oregon, OR Atlanta, GA. This role is a contract-to-hire with an expected conversion evaluation at 6 months.
As a Mechanical Designer, you will create 3D designs and layouts for industrial mechanical systems. This will include HVAC, machines, conveyors, tanks, pneumatic systems, pumps, pipes, and processing equipment design.
Candidates should have 10 years+ of experience in industrial mechanical design (Ex: wood/pulp/paper, industrial manufacturing). Revit, Plant3D and Autocad are preferred.
Some experience with multifaceted engineering projects including electrical and structural steel and concrete is preferred.

Responsibilities
Design and draft industrial mechanical systems; including layouts/general arrangements, conveyors, pneumatic systems, tanks, material handling and processing equipment, HVAC systems, and machine design
Industrial piping systems including 3D modeling, orthographic drawings, isometric drawings, spool drawings, pipe routing, pipe supports, valves & pumps, piping specifications, line lists, and thermal expansion considerations
Familiarity with multi-disciplined industrial projects: structural steel & concrete, industrial buildings, and electrical drawings
Site work, Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs), and Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs)
