Qualified Mental Health Professional

Adelphi is seeking Qualified Mental Health Professionals to provide mental health services for referred inmates in three correctional facilities located in Virginia. The Qualified Mental Health Professional (either a LCSW or a Licensed Professional Counselor) will play a crucial role in providing reintegration services to supervised referred offenders who are being released from correctional facilities.

Requirements:

Active VA license

3 years experience providing mental health services in a correctional, forensic, or other institutional setting

Responsibilities:

Provide reintegration services for referred offenders with mental health needs

Provide targeted psycho-educational intervention services focused on restructuring criminogenic thinking

Provide consulting and counseling services to referred offenders

Notify referred offenders of treatment requirements

Ensure a psychiatrist prescribes psychotropic medications for referred offenders

Notify the probation officer of any unauthorized absences by the referred offender

Notify the probation officer of reffered offender;s failure to meet goals and treatment plan objectives

Respond to any psychiatric emergency regarding referred offenders mental health status
