We're in search of a seasoned and enthusiastic Senior MySQL Database Administrator to join our expanding team in Mumbai! As a pivotal member of our IT department, you'll play a vital role in ensuring the performance, security, and availability of our critical MySQL databases.

This position offers a hybrid work model with 2-3 days in-office and the remainder from home.

What We're Looking For

Minimum 6+ years in Senior MySQL DBA or similar role.

Proficient in designing, implementing, and managing complex MySQL databases.

Deep understanding of MySQL query optimization and performance tuning.

Familiarity with database security practices and access control.

Experience with database automation scripting (Python, shell).

Skilled in disaster recovery planning for MySQL.

Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.

Ability to work independently and within a team.

Passion for continuous learning and advancement in MySQL technology.

Responsibilities

Design, implement, and manage intricate MySQL database structures.

Configure MySQL instances in clustered and non-clustered environments.

Optimize database performance via query tuning, indexing, and resource management.

Establish and maintain a robust disaster recovery plan for MySQL databases.

Conduct regular backups and recoveries to ensure data integrity and minimize downtime.

Automate routine tasks using Python or shell scripting.

Monitor database health and performance using industry-standard tools.

Enforce strict security protocols to prevent unauthorized access and breaches.

Stay updated on MySQL trends and technologies.

Document database design, configuration, and procedures.
