Description
The Program Manager for Surgical Medical Education and Engagement plays a crucial role in supporting external medical education initiatives. Managing and coordinating programs and projects to ensure effective collaboration between teams and stakeholders, the role requires operating room clinical support, strong organizational skills, and the ability to drive projects forward.
The Program Manager works from either a Kerecis office or home office and reports to the Medical Science Liaison Director. This role involves high amounts of travel.
Essential Functions
Program Management: Plan, execute, and monitor external O.R. business unit medical education programs, ensuring compliance, budget adherence, and timely delivery
Field Sales Clinical Support: Provide clinical support to field sales in O.R. business units, including product knowledge training, clinical evidence dissemination, and guidance on product usage. Assist in product demonstrations and educate healthcare professionals on Kerecis products
Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, collaborating with the sales team to understand customer needs and provide clinical support
Key Opinion Leader (KOL) Engagement: Recruit and develop relationships with KOLs and healthcare professionals to support external educational activities and clinical research programs.
Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with internal stakeholders for aligned execution of medical education and engagement initiatives, fostering effective communication and collaboration
External Medical Education: Take responsibility for all external medical education initiatives, including creating scientific materials, presentations, and training programs
Compliance and Regulatory Affairs: Ensure adherence to U.S. laws, regulations, guidelines, and industry standards. Assist in regulatory document preparation and submission
Data Analysis and Reporting: Analyze scientific data and research findings, preparing reports and presentations summarizing key insights

Competencies
Strong project management skills, delivering results within specified timelines
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration with diverse stakeholders
Knowledge of medical device regulations, compliance, and industry guidelines
Familiarity with clinical research processes and principles
Proficiency in data analysis and scientific writing
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Education & Experience
Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Medical Sciences, or related field from an accredited college or university; advanced degree preferred
5 years of experience in medical education or related roles within the biotechnology or medical device industry
Anticipated travel: 75-80%
