The Role

Fidelity Institutional Technology (FIT) is looking for a Principal Systems Analyst to join the Integrated Portfolio Construction team to implement innovative solutions for financial advisors using the latest technology in a collaborative and engaging environment. You will play a leading role in the Agile development of the tools used in the portfolio construction process. Examine and analyze existing IT systems and business models and identify requirements.

Understand and contributing to the scalable technical solution for current legacy systems.

Review current code to ensure data validation and business rules for new deployment.

Assist in defining project scope based on analysis of business requirements and existing systems.

Write User Stories which include concise and clear system requirements which will be used by developers to implement API updates.

Produce use case documents and functional solutions to achieve project goals.

Sheppard implementation of a new system including data migration.

Develop subject matter expertise for assigned components.

Participate in the development and review of test plans by QA.

The Expertise and Skills You Bring

B.S. in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or equivalent experience.

7+ years of professional systems analysis experience.

Experience with systems development methodologies and formal documentation processes.

Experience working with product owners and users to help define a roadmap and break down the work to create roadmaps.

Experience with financial data (Morningstar, Factset), portfolio analysis, designing databases with data modelers and sourcing with data engineers.

Experience designing RESTful API interfaces using HTTP protocol in JSON format.

Experience working across teams to coordinate feature implementations and releases where identification of breaking changes is critical.

Experience with business process improvements and automation.

Experience leading design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) and exploring technical feasibility tradeoffs.

Experience with TypeScript, Angular, or Model-View-Controller.

Experience with Java Spring Boot web services development.

Experience with databases and SQL.

Experience with test automation frameworks such as Cypress and Karate.

Experience with AWS services.

Experience using source control and pull requests for collaborative development in code repository tools such as GitHub.
