Plank Enterprises, Inc., an Eau Claire, WI, based holding company whose ownership interests include LPI, Inc., LDPI, Inc. and Pro~Cise, Inc., is looking for a General Ledger Accountant to join their accounting/finance team. In this role, you will have the opportunity to perform professional level accounting work of a varied and complex nature under the general direction of the Controller.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES for this GENERAL LEDGER ACCOUNTANT position:

Prepare and record journal entries and accruals as part of the month-end close process

Analyze activity and perform monthly balance sheet account reconciliations

Intercompany transfers and entries

Manage fixed assets

Prepare financial reports

Property and sales and use tax reporting

Job costing and reporting

Year-end work paper preparation

Special projects and other duties as assigned

IDEAL CANDIDATES for this GENERAL LEDGER ACCOUNT position will possess the following QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting; CMA or CPA a plus

Strong knowledge of general ledger procedures with a manufacturing background

Detail oriented with a strong emphasis on accuracy

Ability to manage and prioritize multiple assignments within strict time constraints

Strong analytical, financial and interpersonal skills

Competent with Microsoft Excel and Word applications

Ability to work both as a team player and independently

Payroll processing knowledge
