Position Summary

The End-to-End (E2E) Supply Planner for T. Marzetti is based at our corporate headquarters in Westerville, Ohio. The E2E Planner is responsible for the development and improvement of Supply Plans for a portfolio of products. This person ensures there is alignment of this Plan with internal and external partners through the Monthly Business Planning processes. They need to identify and manage exceptions and monitor to continually improve the quality and reliability of the Plan and the Company’s ability to sense and respond to changing circumstances. This person will also manage the Supply Network of the assigned area of the business to meet customer service objectives whilst maintaining optimal stock cover and distribution costs. Work with our Supply Partners to ensure on-time product availability to meet targeted Case Fill Rate, Working Capital, and Freshness of shipments & Inventory.

Responsibilities

Primary Responsibilities

Work closely with demand and supply chain teams to translate and validate demand plans into supply plans as part of the Monthly Business Planning process to achieve sustainable supply plan accuracy.

Drive fast, appropriate actions to minimize the impact of deviations from the supply plan and communicate them to stakeholders. Analyze/ Review supply trends and monitor supply achievements to proactively identify issues and propose improvements.

In accordance with the Monthly Business Planning process, analyze and effectively communicate relevant information; highlight supply issues; propose corrective action and visualize trade-offs. Collaborate with cross functional teams to drive effective processes to reach consensus supply plan.

Collaborate with cross functional teams to ensure that supply is appropriately forecasted and maintained in all circumstances (including pipeline Fill, Cannibalization impact, Discontinuations, and Post Launch Evaluation impact). Coordinate Master Data for new product setups.

Analyze and evaluate the supply plan requirements to satisfy customer needs. Consistently achieve sustainable Customer Service Level sourced items, within Working Capital & Freshness constraints.

Balance the need for product availability versus the need to minimize costs of inventory to ensure optimum stocks. Establish production requirements for short and long term.

Periodically review the stock level to pro-actively look for solutions in case of deviations.

Determine key issues with volume variance that may impact supply and highlight to key stakeholders. Implementing improvements to deliver tangible benefits (e.g.: time savings, increased efficiencies, etc.) - monitoring requirements evolution.

Build and maintain good communication and collaboration with partners to drive optimum FG inventory and Freshness.

Exceptions management: Analyze exceptions and adjust planning results accordingly. Establish production requirements for short and long term and to follow up production plans.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

Minimum 5 years’ experience in the functions across Supply Chain

Demonstrable record of success in supply planning, demand planning and/or value chain optimization.

Education: Bachelor’s Degree in business, operations management, supply chain, or logistics preferred

SAP experience preferred.

Excellent Communication skills

Ability to build sustainable relationships towards customers and other related functions.

Can operate effectively in collaborative and directive business environment and able to develop broad, cooperative relationships with a set of diverse stakeholders

Strong attention to detail and processes

Aligned (understand the required data and reports used)

Ability to adapt fast and work pragmatically within the various situations and with various individuals/groups

Ability to work and share information with others, e.g., with Operations & Demand Planner, Sales, Logistics, PD, etc.

Accountability

Key Performance Objectives:

Managing the following KPI’s across the 1–24-month horizon. Weekly plans managed in 6-month horizon and monthly in to 24-month horizon.

Deliver Service level performance for SKU’s produced at designated plants or co-manufacturers.

Manage to inventory target ranges by SKU.

Manage planned orders and transfer orders in ERP systems. Execute transfer orders and monitor delivery on time and escalate delays.

Collaborate and align with Commercial and Demand Stakeholders on demand forecast and supply strategy for specific product portfolio.

Scenario plan capacity based on forecasted base demand, new products, risks, opportunities, and contingencies.

Proactively identify labor and/or equipment capacity risks and collaborate for solves with stakeholders.

Collaborate with operations to ensure master data accuracy for labor and equipment.

Participate in new product stage gate process.
