You have:
A college degree in accounting
Three years’ experience as an associate in a public accounting firm or equivalent work experience
Eligibility to sit for the CPA exam (with preference given to candidates already holding the CPA credential)
The ability to review and prepare income tax returns of all types: C-Corp, S-Corp, Partnership, and Individual
Knowledge of tax research skills for communicating to clients and documenting client files
A keen eye for strategic business and tax consulting with a focus on tax minimization and risk management including:
Viewing partnership operating agreements to determine allocation of profits and losses
Assisting with merger and acqui9sition analysis/ due diligence
Reviewing client trial balances for book/tax timing differences
Evaluating the propriety of depreciation methods and lives used
Assisting in accounting method changes
Reviewing multi-state operations for state filing requirements
Experience with supervising and training fellow associates
The ability to assist in federal and state controversy work
In this role, you will perform tasks related to functional taxation under the minimal direction of the supervisor, manager, and partners.
