Job Overview:

As Director of Business Development at MOI, you will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, forging strategic partnerships, and expanding our client base. You will play a pivotal role in driving revenue growth, building strong relationships with key stakeholders, and representing our brand with professionalism and enthusiasm.

Essential Functions:

Develop, plan and execute company sales and marketing strategies directed at mid to large commercial end users, PM firms, GC’s and Brokers.

Identify, prioritize, and pursue new business opportunities in both residential and commercial markets. This includes prospecting potential clients, attending industry events, and leveraging existing networks to generate leads.

Develop and maintain relationships with brokers, project managers, key influencers (CRE, GC) that result in selling opportunities.

Source new leads and secure new business through pro-active approaches.

Create visibility and strong social ties through participation in industry related networking groups and activities; including those that support our partners.

Manage and generate sales activities within region of responsibility. Use company provided contact relationship management tools to identify, track and manage opportunities completely through the sales cycle.

Make persuasive presentations on products, service offerings and capabilities.

Works with marketing, sales, to implement business development initiatives. Maintain positive working relationships with all company and region members.

Competencies:

Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Marketing, or related field.

Proven track record of success in business development, sales, or related roles within the furniture, corporate real estate, or architecture and design industry.

Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.

Ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders.

Strategic thinker with a results-oriented mindset and a passion for driving growth.

Proficiency in CRM software, Microsoft Office Suite, and other relevant tools.

Willingness to travel as needed.

Positive "can do" attitude and commitment to professionalism, integrity and sound judgment.

Ability to successfully interact across business functions.

Demonstrated ability to lead change, handle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with prior leadership experience.

Education & Experience:

Requires a bachelor's degree in business, finance, marketing or a related field with a minimum of 5 years of business to business sales and/or development experience.

Working Conditions:

General office environment. Work is generally sedentary in nature, but may require standing and walking for up to 10% of the time. The working environment is generally favorable. Lighting and temperature are adequate, and there are no hazardous or unpleasant conditions caused by noise, dust, etc. Work is generally performed within an office environment, with standard office equipment available
