Job Description

ABR is recruiting for a Recycling Technician for our client in Fitchburg!

Night shift: 6pm-6am

Rotating schedule:one week work Monday and Tuesday, off Wednesday and Thursday, and then work the weekend. The next week off Monday and Tuesday, work Wednesday and Thursday, and then off the weekend.

Wage: $18.97

The Recycling Technician provides recycling services by following established procedures and guidelines under the guidance of the Production Shift Leader. This includes the collection, inspection, testing and disposal of all recyclable materials.

Essential Accountabilities

Inspect, grind, weigh, label, stack, bundle and wrap product as required.

Performs sample bake test on each Gaylord regrind materials to ensure no cross contamination of materials.

Operates a forklift truck to stage regrind materials for inventory or shipping.

Performs routine maintenance and periodic cleaning of the equipment.

Interact with the thermoforming and extrusion departments to ensure receiving quality scrap.

Prevent cross contamination by ensuring that all materials are properly marked and identified.

Identify nonconforming materials and assist Shift leader with resolution.

Issues regrind materials to an inventory location via a RF scanning gun and conduct other necessary transactions as needed.

Maintain a safe, clean and orderly work environment in compliance with OSHA regulations, ISO, GMP’s and SQP certification requirements.

Completes all shift documentation e.g., Recycle/regrind log, pallets labels, Gaylord labels.

Minimum Qualifications

Ability to read and write English for safety, quality and training,

Ability to complete forklift certification program.

Must be able to identify color variation in materials.

Desired Skills

Forklift experience

Experience in a manufacturing environment

Basic computer skills

Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.

Demonstrated mechanical ability and math skills.
