About the Role:

You will play a pivotal role in fostering a productive workplace through advising employees on HR policies and administering HR and payroll processes accurately and efficiently. This role is crucial in maintaining a positive work environment and facilitating compliance with relevant laws and regulations. This role is based in our Bamako, Mali office and will report to the HR Manager.

You Will:

Manage Employee Data and Compliance

Prepare and distribute employment contracts and other HR-related documents and employee lifecycle events in compliance with laws and company policies.

Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee data in HRIS systems and personnel records (hard and electronic files), ensuring data integrity, confidentiality, and compliance.

Ensure compliance with data privacy regulations and company policies when handling sensitive HR information.

Assist in maintaining and updating relevant policies and procedures and compliance with Senegalese employment and benefit laws and regulations.

Provide Benefit and HR Program Administration

Own employee benefits, managing enrollment, addressing inquiries, and claim processing, as needed.

Participate in the evaluation and overall enhancements to HR related items.

Execute on other HR or general operations responsibilities as required by the HR team on an ad-hoc basis.

Lead Payroll Operations

Process and manage all aspects of payroll, including calculating deductions, processing absences and leaves, and updating payroll data in the relevant system.

Prepare payroll documents, ensuring no discrepancies and that all necessary approvals are obtained to process payroll within specified deadlines and ensuring employees receive payslips.

Prepare journals for submission to finance along with any other information or reporting maintenance required to ensure accurate financial statements.

HR Reporting and Analytics

Contribute to the development and enhancement of HR reporting processes and systems to improve data collection, analysis and efficiency.

Help develop standard and customized HR Administration and Payroll reports and dashboards; analyze to inform HR strategies and decisions.

Collaborate with HR and other cross-functional teams to understand reporting needs.

You Have:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field and 4+ years experience in HR administration, with a focus on payroll and benefits administration; or equivalent combination of relevant education, skills, and experiences.

Experience with employment laws, payroll taxes and regulations.

Familiarity with BambooHR and PaySpace (preferred).

Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive issues and maintain confidentiality.

Ability to be proactive, operate autonomously, and thrive in ambiguity.

Solid analytical and attention to details.

Strong communication skills.

Fluency in English and French (Bambara preferred).
