Job Description: Business Analyst / QA Analyst (Insurance)

We are seeking a seasoned Business Analyst / QA Analyst with a robust background in the insurance industry. The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of 5 years of dedicated Business Analysis experience coupled with at least 3 years of hands-on Quality Assurance expertise. This role demands exceptional written and oral communication skills, a keen analytical mindset, and a proactive problem-solving approach.

Key Responsibilities:

Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and analyze business requirements, translating them into detailed functional specifications and testable scenarios.

Develop comprehensive test plans and strategies based on business requirements and technical specifications.

Design, create, and execute test cases and test scripts across various IT projects, ensuring coverage of all functional and non-functional requirements.

Conduct thorough testing of systems, identifying defects, and documenting them with clarity and precision.

Work closely with developers and project managers to resolve issues and ensure timely delivery of high-quality software solutions.

Participate in all phases of the software development life cycle (SDLC), advocating for QA best practices and standards.

Utilize tools such as Microsoft Office suite (Project, Visio, PowerPoint, Excel, Word) for documentation, project planning, and reporting.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, or related field.

Minimum 5 years of experience in Business Analysis and 3 years in Quality Assurance, preferably within the insurance sector.

Proficiency in creating and executing test plans, test scripts, and test strategies.

Strong understanding of QA methodologies, including manual and automated testing approaches.

Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively across technical and non-technical teams.

Demonstrated expertise in problem-solving, critical thinking, and attention to detail.

Preferred certifications: Six Sigma, ITIL, PMI, along with LOMA certification.

Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies is advantageous.
