The Ohio Department of Development’s Minority Business Development Division is seeking an industry project manager seeking an opportunity to manage and lead projects within a growing organization.

SPECIAL PROJECTS MANAGER

Some of the things you will do:

· Assists the Chief & Assistant Chief Minority Business Development Division (i.e. MBDD) on various division-wide and agency-wide fiduciary projects (e.g., loans, grants, tax credits, Diversity and Inclusion Tech Internship program, financial incentives).

· Improves and standardizes intern and company application processes procedures for Internship program, including collaborating with others to advance the use of Salesforce and communities to integrate the Customer and Program Staff experience.

· Assists with any new program launches, including working with the IT team on testing new or revised applications.

· identifies the correct resources and convenes meetings among interested parties and stakeholders.

· Creates correspondence or talking points on behalf of the Chief and other senior staff.

· Supports the Salesforce change working group meetings.

· Establishes project timelines and monitors the progress of projects.

· identifies problems and risks, and determines solutions to address them.

· Schedules and travels to attend meetings and conference calls.

1. Bachelor's degree in social science, public administration or related area.

2. Experience with program management, group facilitation and public policy research and development.

3. Excellent oral, written and interpersonal skills with experience dealing with many types of people at various levels.

4. Must possess valid driver’s license and be able to travel to various sites around Ohio.
