The Network Analyst is part of the TEGNA IT Infrastructure team which represents a wide range of technologies and competencies. Working closely with peers, other teams, departments, business units and outside vendors, the team assists in the evaluation, implementation and support of technology solutions toward business objectives. The analyst in this position will be involved in the implementation and support of the TEGNA network infrastructure.

Position may be based at any of TEGNA's stations.

Responsibilities:

Working ServiceNow incidents and change tickets that require troubleshooting local area network issues with local site IT, installing and configuring new switches/cores/routers both remotely and onsite.

Plan, prioritize, schedule, and execute upgrades, patches, and configuration changes to reduce risk and standardize footprint.

Act as technical liaison between Networking and application/IT teams across business units.

Participate in the design, building, testing, documentation, and implementation of systems management practices associated with the TEGNA Network to include security, performance monitoring and capacity planning, disaster recovery planning, problem management, operational management and change management.

React to changes positively, handle other essential tasks as assigned, and productively challenge the status quo as appropriate.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. Equivalent work experience may be substituted.

1-3 years of technical support experience.

Certifications such as Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP) are preferred.

Experience with troubleshooting local area networking issues and familiarity with OSI layer one, layer two, and layer three.

Experience with automation tasks using scripting languages including Windows Scripting, PowerShell, Python a plus.

Ability to prioritize multiple complex tasks/projects and follow through to completion independently or as part of a team.

As a member of a service organization, ability to effectively communicate technical topics to various levels of internal customers and outside business partners.

Ability to think analytically, solve problems creatively, and document solutions.

Pay Range

$60,000—$85,000 USD
