Tax specialist

Our business keeps growing, so we’re looking for a skilled Tax Specialist to join our global team.

In this role, you’ll work together with our accounting and finance departments. You’ll help design and implement tax policies and strategies, and evaluate managerial processes to ensure compliance with relevant regulatory tax acts. The role also requires tax planning and reporting. The ideal candidate is an analytical, detail-oriented professional who enjoys solving complex tax-related issues.

Your daily tasks will entail:

Working independently and as part of a team on tax projects

Analyzing the legislative acts of the Republic of Latvia and international regulations, drawing conclusions regarding tax applications,

Preparing recommendations for resolving tax-related matters, coordinating tax applications with the State Revenue Service (SRS),

Preparing tax reports, among other tasks

Collaborating with different teams to find the best solution for the company, preparing presentations, conducting calculations, and interpreting laws

Staying up-to-date about changes in the tax acts and accounting laws

Conducting research on tax compliance matters both locally and internationally

Below is a list of formal requirements, but you’re in the right place if you’re a tax nerd/guru with an analytical mind and a strong sense of responsibility. Since we’re an international team and our working language is English, you must also have excellent English skills.

What we expect from you:

Higher education in Accounting and Finance, Business, and other related fields

A history of success as a tax specialist, analyst, accountant, or other related position

Sound knowledge and understanding of tax accounting, tax compliance, and all types of tax returns

Strong familiarity with accounting regulations and rules

Excellent skills in working with MS Office programs (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

Experience with other MS360 tools (e.g., PowerBI, PowerAutomate, PowerQuery)

Attention to detail, and adherence to deadlines while working in a dynamic environment

Ability to work in a team, and willingness to take responsibility for the tasks entrusted to you

Ability to present complex information in a plain and structured language, and prepare reports, letters, and presentations in both Latvian and English
