Role Summary:
The Electric Vehicle (EV) Charging and Energy Manager is charged with executing the EV energy strategy for Audi of America (AoA) and serving as a cross-departmental project management hub for electrification initiatives. This role is responsible for developing a premium charging experience at the dealership, at customers’ homes, in public, and at corporate properties. This role requires development of comprehensive energy management solutions, to include home energy management and green energy concepts. This individual will also contribute to vehicle product requirements as it relates to energy requirements.
Role Responsibilities:
Audi Vehicle Charging Infrastructure & Energy Management - 45%
Support the Network Develoment team with assessment, selection, installation, and inspection of EVSE for the Audi dealer network, including the selection, deployment, and monitoring of dealership EVSE
Collaborate with third parties to establish an Audi public charging infrastructure and premium charging experience
Assessment and selection of home EVSE hardware and equipment
Assessment, selection, installation, and inspection of EVSE at corporate locations
Strategic alignment with all corporate charging initiatives developed by Audi AG, NAR, and Group brands
Develop and execute a comprehensive strategy for Charging at Audi, including identifying new business opportunities, developing partnerships and partnering with the Digtial Sales team to create a seamless and user-friendly experience for Audi customers
Collaborate with group colleagues on battery disposal, recycling, and re-use process, identifying key partners furthering advanced technologies
Liaise with Audi AG, NAR, and Group brands to align all proposed equipment and systems

Ensure alignment with overall Audi and Group objectives and requirements
Manage CMS process for Business/Finance/Legal/Purchasing approval of contracts
Subject Matter Expert, Internal and External – 15%
Work with AoA/AUDI AG to build value propositions/business cases for emerging concepts
Work with internal/external stakeholders on Go-to-Market plans for approved products
Identify new technologies and market trends relevant to charging and energy decisions
Maintain ongoing benchmarking of competitive charging and energy solutions in the market
Oversee and ensure product-correct communications and reviews of product portfolio
Other – 15%
Provide strategic requirements for vehicle elements related to charging and energy
Provide strategic requirements for charging related accessories
Track service changes, project price, and project premise for alignment
Support of P&L reporting & financial management
Represent charging and energy topics in company strategy projects including Strategy 2030 and NAR 360
Qualifications:
Years of Experience:
10-15 years of relevant experience
Education – Required:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or similar
Education – Desired:
Master’s degree in Engineering or similar
Skills:
Knowledge of the electric vehicle industry, battery technologies and vehicle charging technologies
Knowledge of charge point operators, public charging requirements, and the consumer charging experience
Knowledge of EVSE manufacturers and sourcing
Knowledge and understanding of utility power company motivations and business strategies
Knowledge of vehicle development process
Knowledge of the U.S. premium vehicle market and industry-wide EV best practices
Project management experience that enables projects to be delivered on-time and on-budget with wide communities of stakeholders
Entrepreneurial thinking and ability to work with a varying level of ambiguity and uncertainty
Problem solving using logic, data, and reason
Experience with market research and data analysis
Specialized Skills – Required:
EVSE or charge point operator experience
Experience in the area of electrified vehicle product management
OEM product or service planning experience
Excellent oral and written communication skills, interpersonal competences, presentation skills, and stage presence
Ability to cost-effectively manage multiple initiatives across geographies
Experience working across multiple locations, multiple partners and cross-culturally
Specialized Skills – Desired:
Automotive and/or technology-oriented services industry experience
PMP or similar
German language skills a plus
